Schedule a Tour:
Taking a tour of our school, meeting staff members, and observing student interaction is the best way to determine if WayMaker is a good fit for your family. Reach out via email at info@waymakerchristian.com or call 208-682-5138 to schedule a time to stop in.
Accreditation:
WayMaker Christian Academy is fully accredited with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The accreditation process provides assurance of a comprehensive and ongoing review from a neutral third party that helps schools to identify their strengths and weaknesses for the purpose of continuous quality improvement.
School Year:
We begin the 24-25 school year on September 3, 2024 and end on June 6, 2025. Our school calendar fulfills instructional hour requirements established by the State of Idaho. The academic year includes a one-week Thanksgiving break, two-week Christmas and New Year break, and one-week Spring Break.
School Days:
In an effort to maintain our Core Value of Balance, we conduct a 4-day school week. As there are 4 national holidays on Mondays and many local healthcare providers are closed on Fridays, we opted for a school week of Tuesday through Friday, ensuring no need to make up missed days for national holidays and opportunity for families to schedule appointments on Mondays, reducing missed days of school.
School Hours:
School hours vary by grade level, as outlined below:
Pre-kindergarten: 9-12
Kindergarten: 9-2
Elementary, grades 1-5: 8:30-3:30
Middle and High School, grades 6-12: 8-4
Admissions Process:
Families interested in enrollment must complete the admissions application and submit a $30 admissions fee. Within 48 hours, applicants will be contacted to schedule a family interview with school administration and staff. After the interview, if both parties agree to move forward, a $300 registration fee is required to secure the student’s place and to order necessary textbooks and other curriculum.
Tuition Rates and Payment:
Tuition payments are due the first school day of each month. Parents may opt for a 12-month or 9-month payment plan, submit 2 equal payments at the beginning of each semester, or deliver the full tuition payment in a single lump sum upon enrollment. Multiple-child discounts are available, with a 5% reduction for the second enrolled child, and a 10% reduction on the third. Tuition rates vary by grade level, as outlined below.
Pre-kindergarten: $3600
Kindergarten: $5500
Elementary, grades 1-5: $6250
Middle School, grades 6-8: $6500
High School, grades 9-12: $6750
Lunches:
We are actively seeking “hot lunch” options, but until then, students must bring lunches. A refrigerator and microwave are available for (supervised) use.
Class Sizes:
Current class sizes are small enough that our students enjoy the community-building aspect of blended classrooms. Using intentional differentiated instruction that aims to meet each students’ unique needs, classes are comprised of several different grade levels in the same room, receiving instruction from the same teacher. Exact grade-level blends depend on student enrollment numbers. School policy establishes course capacity limits for each grade level, with Pre-K limited to 12 students and High School classes limited to 23.
